Anima

Inspired by Chiang Kai-shek, ANIMA is about identity, heritage and an investiture of strength. “Where she passes, grass will no longer grow.” These are the words the designer’s father wrote in her baby book. They speak of impact, not destruction. As he always said: “I break, but I do not bend.” This collection celebrates a femininity that never apologises for its strength. Its silhouettes are vertical, fluid yet firm, and its palette lingers in the memory. It is for those who grow into names too big for them. BR strips away the historical armour to reveal what held it up: the SOUL.
